Women were once revered and worshipped as Goddesses—
as the bringers of life;
as the ones who regenerated the earth;
who continued the life cycle;
and were held in the highest regard.
Every culture had (some still have) a Mother Earth figure they looked to as a powerful entity. I want to show how important women are within society and culture. I want to elevate women to the status where they belong. This body of work explores the idea of the Mother Earth goddess to unearth the idea of women as powerful.
